Fabric Binder

Specifically formulated to improve the performance of Bluebird Fabric Paints, this binder also aids in adhesion on mixed-media projects involving fabric. Additionally, it serves as a binding agent in pigment printing, ensuring long-lasting colour durability. Easy to use, simply mix it with fabric paint, apply, and heat-set for optimal results.

USES

• Enhances color fastness and scrub resistance on various fabric materials.
• Ideal for screen printing and other fabric painting techniques.
• To be used only with fabric paints. Even though Bluebird Fabric Paints are highly scrub resistant, this medium can be added to further improve performance.

ADDITIONAL USES

• Adhesion on Glass and Fabric: It helps in the adhesion of glass pieces onto fabric, making it suitable for mixed-media projects.
• Pigment Printing: Used as a binding agent in pigment printing processes to fix pigments onto fabric, enhancing durability and resistance to washing.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation: Ensure the fabric is clean and dry before application.

Mixing: Mix the binder with the desired fabric colour. Use the appropriate ratio based on the colour type, not exceeding 20% to avoid tackiness.

Application: Apply the mixture onto the fabric using brushes, sponges, or screen printing tools.

Drying: Allow the painted fabric to dry completely.

Fixing: Heat-set the painted area by ironing on the reverse side or using a heat press.
